American Idol Top 3 for Season 24 Finale Revealed Amid DWTS Collab

American Idol Season 24 is in its final stretch, and the competition’s top 3 finalists have finally been revealed. Going into the week, five talented singers performed alongside alums at a special crossover event with Dancing With the Stars. In the end, two contestants sadly walked home after coming so close to the ultimate title.

The finalists for American Idol Season 24 are Hannah Harper, Jordan McCullough, and Keyla Richardson. These three advanced from the Top 5 after live voting on the May 4 episode, titled “Class of 2006: Reunion/Idol X DWTS.”

The night featured duets with the show’s alumni, alongside dances by DWTS pros. During Round 1, the contestants sang solo. Meanwhile, DWTS pros Witney Carson, Jan Ravnik, Rylee Arnold, and Gleb Savchenko performed beside them.

Here’s what each contestant sang:

  • Keyla Richardson: Ike & Tina Turner’s “River Deep, Mountain High”
  • Chris Tungseth: Noah Kahan’s “Northern Attitude”
  • Braden Rumfelt: Teddy Swims’s “Lose Control”
  • Hannah Harper: Peggy Lee’s “Fever”
  • Jordan McCullough: Leona Lewis’s “Footprints in the Sand”

In the next round, Duet, the contestants were joined by alums, Taylor Hicks, Bucky Covington, Paris Bennett, Kelly Pickler, and Elliott Yamin, to perform popular songs.

Here’s what each duet performed during the round:

  • Keyla Richardson and Taylor Hicks: Stevie Wonder’s “Living for the City”
  • Chris Tungseth and Bucky Covington: Garth Brooks’ “The Thunder Rolls”
  • Braden Rumfelt and Paris Bennett: Queen’s “The Show Must Go On”
  • Hannah Harper and Kelly Pickler: Martina McBride’s “A Broken Wing”
  • Jordan McCullough and Elliott Yamin: Donny Hathaway’s “A Song for You”

On the judges’ panel, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie were in complete awe of all the performances and showered them with high praise. The episode also featured Paula Abdul as a guest judge and Randy Jackson as the mentor for the five contestants.

Following the performance, live voting took place, with the audience voting for their favorite contestants. Despite a powerful performance, Braden Rumfelt and Chris Tungseth were eliminated by the end.

Next week, American Idol Season 24 returns for its grand finale on Monday, May 11, marking the end of yet another incredible season of new talent.
