The event kicked off with a closing ceremony, which saw Robbie Williams perform the official Fifa anthem, Desire, alongside Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger and Italian singer-songwriter Laura Pausini.
Tom Cruise gave a passionate speech after Streamer IShowSpeed sang his song Champions and Post Malone performed with rapper Swae Lee.


Jay-Z, Beyonce and Dua Lipa were spotted in the crowd, along with comedian Will Ferrell, Dune star Timothee Chalamet and his girlfriend Kylie Jenner, singer Pharrell Williams and actors Matt Damon, Anya Taylor-Joy and Richard Gere.
Cruise was seen with Sir David and Victoria Beckham after his closing ceremony performance. Tennis star Serena Williams, Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Ronaldo Nazário, Madonna, Mick Jagger, Jon Hamm and Jason Sudeikis are also at the big game.
President Donald Trump is attending with First Lady Melania Trump and will present the trophy to the winning team. That led to increased security measures at the game, with Secret Service on hand for additional screening.
