The Hong Kong gateway is among the most attractive advertising locations in the airport world

HONG KONG, CHINA. Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) has called a major tender for advertising spaces at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). Two licences are available, one each in terminals 1 and 2.

A statement said, “HKIA is a world-class international transport hub with extensive air, sea and land links as well as round-the-clock facilities.

“Advertising plays a vital role in shaping the terminal ambience and enhancing the passenger experience. The Authority seeks innovative companies to maximise the airport’s advertising potential, delivering premium brand-building and sales-driving opportunities through creative formats, advanced technologies, and high-impact media assets.”

Passenger traffic at HKIA has climbed sharply in the past year. On a 12-month rolling basis through May, the airport served 64 million passengers, a year-on-year increase of +13%. For the first five months of 2026, passenger volumes rose by +12.5% year-on-year to 27.7 million.

The deadline for submissions for the advertising bid is 8 September at 4pm (Hong Kong time).

The tender documents are available for download via AAHK’s electronic tendering system – ePROS website.

Potential bidders must hold a valid registered account as ‘Retailer/F&B Operator’ and pay a non-refundable fee of HK$5,000 (US$638) to access the documents.
