Ahsoka season 2 D23 display has offered a close look at the next Star Wars story. New looks for some major characters have been revealed in the D23 display.
In the latest reveal, fans got to catch a glimpse of the snowsuit costumes of Anakin Skywalker and Padawan Ahsoka. Not only that, but Star Wars fans also got to see Sabine, Grand Admiral Thrawn, Great Mother Klothow, Ahsoka the White, and Young Padawan Ahsoka‘s costumes. All of these costumes have been designed by Sammy Sheldon Differ.
The props for Anakin Skywalker, Padawan Ahsoka, Sabine, and Grand Admiral Thrawn’s costumes were executed by Ben Wilkinson. Additionally, Bud Wilkinson was responsible for the props for Great Mother Klothow, Ahsoka the White, and Young Padawan. Makeup was done by Jan Sewell. The display was visible on the show floor and was open to all the attendees. Several concept arts could also be seen surrounding the displays.
What the Ahsoka Season 2 display reveals about the new chapter
Ahsoka season 2’s new displays have immediately made fans point to The Clone Wars. For example, Anakin Skywalker’s snowsuit costume has a striking resemblance to the costume worn by the chosen one in episode 15 of season 1 (Trespass).
Moving on to Young Ahsoka’s outfit, it too seems to be designed specifically for cold and harsh environments. Interestingly, her latest look reveal also bears a resemblance to the costume she wore in episode 14 of season 4 (A Friend In Need). Looking at both these costumes, fans have gotten an idea of what to expect from the upcoming season.
According to the fans’ speculations, the latest Star Wars story will feature some flashback scenes in a cold and snowy setting during The Clone Wars. Ahsoka season 2 will have four directors, namely Dave Filoni, Bryce Dallas Howard, Anders Engström, and Jennifer Getzinger. Ahsoka season 2 is slated for an early 2027 release.
