August 6 – Adidas has tightened its grip on the Premier League kit market, with the German sportswear giant supplying eight of the 20 clubs competing in England’s top flight during the 2026/27 season.
That gives Adidas a 40% share of the league and puts it comfortably ahead of Nike, whose swoosh will appear on just three Premier League shirts – Brighton, Chelsea and Spurs.
Adidas has also secured some of the division’s biggest commercial properties. Champions Arsenal are joined by Liverpool and Manchester United, giving the brand three of the traditional ‘big six’.
Aston Villa complete an impressive leading group, meaning Adidas supplies four of last season’s top five and 80% of the Premier League clubs competing in this season’s Champions League – with Manchester City the only outlier.
It continues a lengthy period of dominance for the company, which has supplied more Premier League teams than any rival in 10 of the past 12 seasons. Its eight-club portfolio is also the largest share held by one manufacturer across the past decade.
Hummel is the only other supplier with more than one club and has made one of the biggest jumps from last season.
The Danish manufacturer supplied Sunderland alone in 2025/26 but has increased that roster to three teams after adding Bournemouth and newly-promotedCoventry City.
Coventry have worn Hummel since 2019, allowing the partnership to continue into the Premier League after extending their deal earlier this summer.
The remaining six manufacturers – Castore, Joma, Macron, OXEN Sports, Puma and Umbro – each supply one club.
In total, nine different clothing brands are represented in the Premier League this season. That is unchanged from 2025/26, but two higher than in 2024/25 and the most since the 2021/22 campaign.
