Sonic the Hedgehog 4 might see one fan-favorite actor return from the previous two installments of the franchise. The actor has said he is definitely interested in returning for the fourth movie for one key reason.
Shemar Moore‘s Randall has become a popular character in his extended appearance in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 featured him in a small cameo that delighted fans as well. Now, fans are speculating whether the actor and his character will return in the fourth installment, which is in development.
Moore has stated that he is ready to appear in the movie, specifically so that his daughter has more content to watch with him in it, beyond his appearance in S.W.A.T. Regarding this, in an interview with Screen Rant, he said, “Neal Moritz is why I’m in Sonic 2 and Sonic 3, so Neal knows he’s going to catch some smoke if he doesn’t put me in Sonic 4. Because it is not me, my daughter demands it.”
Who else is definitely appearing in Sonic the Hedgehog 4?
Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will to see a lot of the main cast from the previous movies return. It is also going to see the introduction of an iconic villain into the live-action arm of the franchise: Metal Sonic. No cast has been announced for the character, and there has been speculation that the character could be a non-speaking role in the movie.
The announced cast members of the movie include Jim Carrey, Ben Schwartz, Kristen Bell, Idris Elba, Keanu Reeves, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Ben Kingsley, Matt Berry, Colleen O’Shaughnessey, Lee Majdoub, Nick Offerman and Richard Ayoade.
Carrey will be returning to the franchise as Doctor Robotnik, who has a hand in the creation of Metal Sonic. Schwartz will also return as the titular blue hedgehog. Idris Elba will play Knuckles the Echidna. Keanu Reeves, who joined the franchise in Sonic 3, will play Shadow the Hedgehog once again. Kristen Bell and Ben Kingsley are the newcomers to the franchise. Bell will play Amy Rose, who is also a classic character from the Sonic games. Colleen O’Shaughnessey will also return to play Tails in the fourth installment.
