American pop icon Bruno Mars will return to Hong Kong for the first time in nearly a decade, with four shows planned at Kai Tak Stadium next May as part of a newly expanded Asia leg of his “Romantic Tour”.

The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter will perform on May 7, 8, 11 and 12 next year in Hong Kong on the Asian leg of the tour, alongside Singapore, Japan, Thailand and others, organiser Live Nation announced on Thursday.

The coming concerts will be Mars’ first Hong Kong performances since his 24K Magic World Tour stop at AsiaWorld-Expo in 2018, and his first time playing at the city’s newest mega arena.

Kai Tak Stadium at the Kai Tak Sports Park, which opened in March 2025, has a maximum capacity of 50,000. It hosted four shows by British rock band Coldplay last year, drawing nearly 200,000 fans in total.
