Their situation is so unique in the world. No one to be able to share, this is what I did in that situation. What I got out of bearing witnrss to such a small part of yheir experience: a male born into privilege, yet an odd “spare son” aspect of privilege, showing no toxic masculinity is dealing with a situation where his once thriving wife was suffering significantly. It appears that they listened and supported each other in finding the right next steps for their family while doing their best to navigate the fallout from their extended families. Any one of the factors they were dealing with could have ended in a divorce–from 2 different countries, royal family vs actress, mixed races and speaking about racial issues within the royal family. Harry having such a deep wound from losing a mother due to royal family traditions and hazards of the spotlight and witnessing his wife suffering from the stress of some of this and not wanting to see it escalate in his new family. No matter what anyone might say about any one choice either one of these brave souls did or said, I’m so proud of how they weathered cultural and emotional hurricanes together, allowing time for relief, healing and love. Grateful for the americans who came to their aid when the Royals cut them off from security and more. The best to all of them, especially while america is wrestling with a dictator on the rise (for now).
