One of the fastest-growing drive-thru coffee chains in the country continues its rapid expansion across South Jersey, as the approved 7 Brew Coffee location in Lawnside has taken its next major step toward construction.
Last week, crews demolished the former gas station building that occupied the property, clearing the site ahead of development.

42Freeway first reported on the project when it received approval earlier this year.
The new 7 Brew will be located on the White Horse Pike in Lawnside, directly in front of The Home Depot and next to Town & Country Car Wash.
The property was previously home to a gas station and its overhead fueling canopy. In my visit yesterday all of building structures had been demolished.
Based on a review of Google Street View imagery, the station appears to have ceased operations sometime after 2019, likely during the pandemic, and has remained vacant ever since and available for sale or lease.

Busy Commercial Corridor Continues to Grow
The White Horse Pike corridor through Lawnside and neighboring Barrington has evolved into one of Camden County’s busiest retail destinations, making it an ideal location for the popular coffee chain.
Nearby businesses in the adjacent powerhouse intersection include Chick-fil-A, Chipotle, Wawa, and the recently opened Thirsty Turtle Tavern. Of course there is large shopping centers with The Home Depot, PetSmart, ShopRite, as well as newer additions including Lomax Flooring and Red, White & Blue Thrift Store.

For 7 Brew, the location offers outstanding visibility and access to heavy daily traffic from local residents, commuters traveling to and from Route 295, and the thousands of shoppers who visit the retail corridor each week.
The new coffee stand will have direct access from the White Horse Pike. One detail I’m still trying to confirm is whether vehicles will also be able to enter from the Home Depot parking lot. I reached out to the New Jersey franchise ownership team this morning and will update this article if I receive additional information.

About 7 Brew Coffee
Originally founded around seven signature coffee recipes, 7 Brew Coffee has grown into one of the nation’s fastest-expanding beverage brands.
While those original seven coffee creations remain customer favorites, today’s menu also includes:
- Coffees
- 7 Energy drinks
- 7 Fizz sodas
- Smoothies
- Shakes
- Teas
- Lemonades
Thanks to its extensive selection of flavors, syrups and add-ins, the company says customers can create more than 20,000 unique drink combinations.

The business model focuses on a drive-thru only retail operation in a distinctive store design featuring a small narrow employee only area to create your beverages. The company streamlines the development process by utilizing modular building techniques which builds the core structure offsite… and after the local site foundation is developed the building is dropped in place via a crane.
Founded in 2017 in Northwest Arkansas, 7 Brew had expanded to seven coffee stands by 2020. Later that year, the company was acquired by an entrepreneurial group that launched an aggressive franchise expansion strategy.
Today, 7 Brew operates more than 700 locations across 38 states, with the New Jersey and Philadelphia region serving as one of its primary growth markets.

Rapid Expansion Across New Jersey
The Turnersville location in Washington Township became New Jersey’s first 7 Brew about 18 months ago. When I covered that opening, the ownership team shared ambitious plans for rapid expansion throughout the state.
They’re certainly delivering on those plans.
The company now has eight New Jersey locations open, including Turnersville, Egg Harbor Township, Sicklerville, Rio Grande and additional South Jersey markets, with even more stores under development.
Like many highly anticipated restaurant openings, Turnersville attracted massive crowds from day one. Long lines were expected during opening week—but what surprised many people was how long they lasted.

Even months after opening, customers continued lining up for 7 Brew, and despite several additional South Jersey locations opening since then, the brand remains extremely popular throughout the 42Freeway coverage area.
That growth shows no signs of slowing.
In addition to the approved Lawnside location, 7 Brew also has approved locations planned for Voorhees and Vineland, while four additional stores are expected to open this year in North Jersey as the company continues its aggressive expansion across the Garden State.
