Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., and Chris Hemsworth had a brand new reunion in a special promo for Avengers: Doomsday. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo from a script by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely, Doomsday remains one of the most highly anticipated movies of 2026.
Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., and Chris Hemsworth appeared as themselves in a 32-second-long promo for Doomsday as part of Marvel’s presentation at Bilibili World. Their respective characters, Steve Rogers / Captain America, Iron Man / Tony Stark, and Thor, are the founding members of the Avengers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, much has happened since the events of the first Avengers movies. In Doomsday, Rogers is no longer Captain America, as Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson has taken over the mantle. Meanwhile, Downey is portraying the eponymous Victor von Doom / Doctor Doom.
In the clip, the trio addresses Bilibili World and the Chinese audience. ‘Hello, Bilibili World,” Downey begins. “We are taking a quick break from the set of Avengers: Doomsday and wanted to say hello to you all lovely People.” Evans continues, “Doomsday is coming, and the stakes have never been higher. Witnessing how much you love this universe and these characters keeps us going.”
Hemsworth then adds, “Like our collective boss and friend Kevin [Feige] will soon tell you, we’re working hard to make this the most epic movie yet.” Downey supplied, “We love you, Bilibili. We love you, China. Stay awesome.” The three closed the video with a simple promise. “See you soon,” they said.
Avengers: Doomsday features an ensemble cast that also includes Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang / Ant-Man, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier / Professor X, and Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr / Ghost. The movie comes out in US theaters on December 17, 2027.
