Rob Gronkowski is singing the praises of his fellow No. 87 NFL star Travis Kelce‘s recent wedding to Taylor Swift.
On Episode 7 of Tubi’s “The Other Football,” which released Wednesday, July 8, the four-time Super Bowl champ spilled on what it was like to be among the guests at the stars’ New York City extravaganza.
Gronkowski told co-host Jameis Winston that as he waited to be dropped off at Madison Square Garden on July 3, he bided his time by watching the Argentina vs. Cape Verde World Cup match, which nearly ended in an extra time upset for Lionel Messi and his team.
“It was the most amount of black cars I’ve ever seen going into Madison Square Garden. It was five blocks of black cars in a row,” Gronkowski said. “I ain’t just sitting here doing nothing. Let’s put that game on the screen. That got me prepared for the wedding because that’s one of the best games that you could’ve possibly watched.”

He added, “It got you out of your seat, it got you excited, and same with this wedding, man.”
“It was top-notch,” Gronkowski continued. “Hats off to Taylor and Trav. And the dancefloor, that’s the one thing. It was poppin’, Jameis.”
The NFL star faced off against Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs during his final Super Bowl in 2021 and reigned supreme with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after delivering a 31-9 blow. Despite the defeat, it seems he and Kelce stayed on good terms.
After weeks of speculation, Kelce and Swift tied the knot on July 3 in the midst of a heatwave, with Adam Sandler officiating. Their wedding party solely consisted of their respective brothers, Jason Kelce and Austin Swift, and the bride and groom both wore Christian Dior Haute Couture.
Official photos from the event have not been released, leaving fans to circulate unconfirmed images and speculate about how the superstar couple pulled off an intimate ceremony in what’s primarily a sports venue.
Among those who were in attendance at the event were a mix of people in Kelce and Swift’s orbit, including NFL colleagues such as Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid, as well as Swift’s musical collaborators and friends like Jack Antonoff, Ed Sheeran and Zoë Kravitz.
Gronkowski also admitted that the high-profile event raised the pressure for himself and girlfriend Camille Kostek, with whom he’s been in a relationship for over a decade.
A wedding “encourages everyone to ask you when you’re doing it right in front of your significant other,” he said. “So there’s a lot of encouragement; there’s no doubt about that, Jameis.”
