The former TVB actress’s death was announced by her sons, who said that she died peacefully on Friday morning, surrounded by family at Prince of Wales Hospital in Sha Tin after an illness. The announcement did not specify the condition.
Her husband also died in the same hospital in 2021, after reportedly battling stomach cancer for several months.
Chan, a devoted Christian, is survived by her two sons, who announced her death on her Facebook page, saying she “has returned to the embrace of our Heavenly Father”.
“In accordance with her wishes during her lifetime, the memorial service will be held privately and discreetly,” they said, adding that the event would be restricted to close friends and family members only and would not be open to the public.
