HKTB Strategy Introduces New City-Wide Event Concept
The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with global trade exhibition organiser Informa Markets to bring a portfolio of international exhibition events to Hong Kong between 2026 and 2028.
The partnership will support the launch of The Festival of Connoisseurs (TFOC), a new exhibition platform centred on a “city-as-your-showroom” concept, extending events beyond traditional exhibition venues to locations across Hong Kong.
The agreement was signed during a ceremony in Hong Kong attended by representatives from HKTB, Informa Markets and tourism industry stakeholders.

Under the partnership, HKTB and Informa Markets will work together to position Hong Kong as the long-term host destination for TFOC and to expand the event’s international reach over the next three years.
The event concept aims to combine exhibitions, tourism, and lifestyle experiences by using multiple landmarks and locations across the city rather than relying on a single exhibition venue. The approach is intended to attract business travellers, industry buyers and leisure visitors through a mix of trade and consumer-focused experiences.
TFOC will focus on sectors including supercars, yachts, jewellery, watches, premium travel, art, luxury properties, private aviation, fine dining, rare spirits and wellness-related products and services.
HKTB Chairman Dr Peter Lam said the collaboration supports Hong Kong’s role as a meeting and business events destination while strengthening its tourism and MICE sectors.
Margaret Ma Connolly, President and CEO of Informa Markets Asia, said Hong Kong remains an important business and exhibition hub in the region and that the partnership reflects long-term confidence in the city’s event industry.
As part of the collaboration, HKTB will also participate in several international exhibitions organised by Informa Markets, including the Monaco Yacht Show, Palm Beach International Boat Show, Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Jewellery Arabia and Top Marques Monaco, which will expand into Hong Kong for the first time.
The partnership forms part of Hong Kong’s wider efforts to strengthen its MICE and business tourism sector through international exhibitions, destination experiences and event-led travel.
