There are five Serie A players in the final Norway squad going to the 2026 World Cup, from Sassuolo, Bologna, Torino, Genoa and Cremonese.
Norway won the World Cup qualifying group ahead of Italy, achieving their spot at the tournament thanks to a 100 per cent record of 10 victories.
The group of 26 players for the trip to the USA, Mexico and Canada has now been confirmed with plenty of representation from Italian club football.
They are Genoa defender Leo Ostigard, Bologna’s Torbjorn Heggem, Marcus Pedersen of Torino, Cremonese midfielder Morten Thorsby and Sassuolo player Kristian Thorstvedt.
