Hong Kong actor Benny Chan and Chinese actor Li Mao have been stuck while traveling in Dubai due to the U.S.-Israel war against Iran that disrupted regional air travel.
After returning to their hometown for the Lunar New Year, Benny Chan and his wife, actress Jiang Lisha, along with their children, went on a trip to Dubai.
In a social media post on March 1, Jiang said that the family arrived in late February and had only been traveling for a few days.
They “didn’t anticipate the unexpected events that occurred” and are now very worried, Chinese news site Sinchew reported.

Actor Li Mao stated on Weibo on March 1 that he was forced to stay in the United Arab Emirates.
He revealed that his flight back to Beijing, scheduled to depart on March 1, had been canceled due to the aviation crisis, China Times reported.
He recalled hearing five explosions near the beach.
“This is the first time I’ve felt war so close.”
He said he hadn’t slept all night, constantly expressing his desire to go home.
Dubai Airports has halted all flight operations at Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport until further notice. In Abu Dhabi, operations at Zayed International Airport have also been suspended.
Around 20,200 passengers are stuck in UAE due to the suspension of flights, according to Euro News.
Benny Chan, 55, joined the entertainment industry in 1994. He later joined Hong Kong broadcasting company TVB and acted in many television dramas produced by the company.
Li Mao is a Chinese singer, actor and model.
