Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian was lightly injured during an Israeli attack on Tehran on June 16, Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps-affiliated Fars News Agency reported on Sunday.
The attack took place during a meeting between senior Iranian government officials in Tehran, including the president, and according to the report, several other participants were also injured. Fars reported that Pezeshkian’s leg was wounded as a result of the strike.
The meeting was held days after the war began in a building in the western part of the city. The president, speaker of parliament, and the head of the judiciary participated in the meeting, which took place on the lower levels of the building.
According to the report, the operation was similar to that of Nasrallah’s assassination.
Over the course of the 12-day war with Iran, Israel killed several top Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps members and nuclear scientists.

IDF kills several IRGC and military officials, along with prominent nuclear scientists
The IDF also confirmed the killing of IRGC air force commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh, along with other senior IRGC air force officials, as they met in an underground command center that Friday morning.
Following the ceasefire between the two countries coming into effect, Iranians had growing concerns over the well-being of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, following an absence in public appearances for two weeks, The New York Times reported.
However, since the end of the war, Khamenei has appeared in public, including for the first time in early July at a religious event.
