The London Palladium had more than one star in attendance as Rachel Zegler wowed audiences in Evita. A handful of celebrities came out to support the leading lady, bringing with them a mix of fashion highs, a few confusing choices, and one reminder that not all summer footwear is created equal.
Medical drama, but not the good kind
Sarah Paulson is known for her love of avant-garde silhouettes and off-beat style, but this Nackiyé look just didn’t land. The high-neck, puff-sleeve dress in ivory had an oddly clinical feel, giving major “19th-century nurse uniform” energy—and not in a fashion-forward way. This felt flat. There wasn’t a single element of this look that I could connect with.

Chocolate done right
Jessica Alba looked chic in a chocolate brown Emilia Wickstead Keeley Mudu strapless duchesse-satin midi dress. At first glance, I thought there had been some clever tailoring to nip in the waist, but it turns out the visible line was just a crease. But the most important thing here is the colour, which was divine on her, and the accessories tied things together beautifully: a matching Loewe bag and gold floral-accented sandals that added a soft touch of glamour.

Cool on top, crunchy down low
Sophie Okonedo embraced the heat in a breezy white ruffled blouse from Studio Nicholson, paired with tailored black trousers for balance. It was classic summer-in-the-city styling—until we got to the footwear. Birkenstocks are everywhere when the temperature spikes, but I still haven’t made peace with them. Mostly because they’re a bit too enthusiastic when it comes to absorbing every bit of moisturiser from your feet, leaving them looking dry, so I will never understand their appeal.
