💶 LaLiga gives you €50 for reporting pubs showing football illegally

LaLiga has launched a new initiative in its fight against piracy. The organization presided over by Javier Tebas will reward people with 50 euros for reporting fraudulent football broadcasts in bars and other hospitality venues.

The report must be valid and submitted through the Spanish football association’s official reporting channel.

“The objective is twofold: to protect establishments that legally broadcast football and to facilitate citizen collaboration in the defense of audiovisual rights, providing users with a channel that is accessible from mobile devices and operational at any time,” LaLiga emphasized this Wednesday in its press release.

The organization led by Javier Tebas explains the method for checking whether a particular establishment’s broadcast is pirated: check if there is a ‘B’ in the corner of the TV screen during the broadcast for a bar, or an ‘A’ if it’s a betting shop. If neither appears, that establishment is not authorized and the broadcast is illegal.

LaLiga clarifies that the 50-euro reward “is granted only in cases where the report proves effective after the validation process, as part of a regulated and transparent appreciation policy.”
