A woman has been found dead in a Hong Kong flat, with her husband, who called police for help, arrested on suspicion of possessing dangerous drugs.
The force said it received a call at 4.13pm on Wednesday from the 48-year-old Frenchman, saying his 30-year-old Filipino wife had passed out in their home at Avignon in So Kwun Wat, Tuen Mun. Both were Hong Kong residents.
Officers and emergency personnel arrived at the scene and confirmed the woman was dead.
A source said on Thursday that the couple had an argument over their resting time. The man then slept in the living room, leaving his wife alone in the bedroom.
The man and a domestic helper went to check on the woman at 4pm and found her lying on the floor, after which the man called police.
The cause of death will be determined after an autopsy, according to the force. The case has been classified as a dead body found case and no one has been arrested in connection with the death so far.
