Fall 2: Deadpoint‘s trailer has officially been revealed for the new survival thriller movie. While a second movie doesn’t feel the most necessary, the movie still looks fun.
Fall 2: Deadpoint stars Harriet Slater, Arsema Thomas, and Tom Brittney. The film is directed by Peter and Michael Spierig from a screenplay written by Mann and Jonathan Frank. It is produced by Scott Mann, Mark Lane, James Harris, Christian Mercuri, and David Haring.
“From the survival hit that tapped into the fear of heights and left two friends stranded at the top of a tower comes a climb that goes higher, gets deadlier, and hits with next-level adrenaline. In Fall 2: Deadpoint, two friends take on new heights in Thailand, where unpredictable terrain, extreme exposure, and nowhere to hide push survival further than ever before,” reads the film’s official synopsis.

From the start, Fall 2: Deadpoint’s trailer throws you immediately into the chaos of what’s happening. Two friends are stuck along the face of a mountain in Thailand, with the bridge they were traveling on having collapsed behind them. Unlike the first movie, which saw two adventurous friends getting trapped atop a giant tower, this one seems to be more focused on what happens when experienced climbers get into an issue.
Of course, at the end of the day, the movie does seem like yet another wild thriller at its heart. Some might argue that a movie like this isn’t really necessary given how definitive the first film seemed to be. However, with an entirely new setting and story, the tension of being trapped high up is something that can keep being tapped into for sure. To its credit, Fall 2: Deadpoint does look like a lot of fun, as well. The concept of two climbers having to navigate their way back down a mountain without much help is a great one, and the movie looks like it’ll have a ton of high-tension moments to boot.
In the end, a sequel to Fall wasn’t exactly something we needed, but following the massive success of the first film after its home release, it seemed all but destined to happen. Thankfully, it looks like the sequel we’ll be getting will continue leaning into the wild moments of the first, and maybe even ratchet up some of them.
