同理不等於同意

最近在公司教課,有關團隊溝通。 同事對於「同理不等於同意」這課題,很感興趣。如此一來,我也想問問讀者,知道「同理」、「同意」、「同情」是三個不同的意思嗎? 同理是對於他人的情緒,身同感受,能站在對方的角度來看事情,但不是順從對方,對他的想法並不需要表達認同與否。同意是在事實描述上認同,是觀點上的認同,心裏接受這做法背後的價值或意義。因此,同理不代表同意。例如:我們能理解某人因為沒錢,生活匱乏而鋌而走險去偷錢,我們把自己放到那處境,有了彼此同在的感覺,自然能理解對方這樣做的情緒。但,這絕不代表我們認同偷竊這行為。 而我們從小到大,耳熟能詳的「同情」,反而是在溝通中最危險的。因為,它會瞬間拉開與對方的距離!「我很同情你」–聽到這句話就會讓人馬上感覺到說話的人在心理上的位置比自己高,這人並不是站在自己的角度看事情,而是遠遠的,以局外人的姿態去描述自己的處境。更甚者,或會帶有批判。 當一個人掉入人生的黑洞中,「同情」是我站在洞口,俯視在底下痛苦的你,說你真痛苦,願你能早點上來。而「同理」,是我選擇爬下洞口,和你一起坐在黑暗中,體會你的處境。有效職場溝通,最關鍵還是建立彼此的信任。 其實很多時候,我們不必急着「幫他解決問題」「讓他心情好起來」或期待他「欣然接受現況」。靜靜地聽,靜靜陪伴,就足夠了。不過,兩個人面對面,總不可能長時間默默無語。在我個人經驗中,「我可以想像你的難過」「我之前也發生過類似事情……」是很有力量的句式,大家不妨試試。 撰文 : 金鈴 欄名 : 鈴動悉地 Source link
