Urgent Care doctor David Bermejo will discuss ways to implement healthy lifestyle changes during a community lecture at the DeWees Center on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

The lecture, titled “It’s Never Too Late for Lifestyle Medicine,” will cover how simple lifestyle changes — at any age — can help prevent and treat chronic disease and help people feel better every day.

Bermejo will explore the six main pillars of Lifestyle Medicine: healthy eating, regular exercise, good sleep, managing stress, avoiding harmful substances, and building strong social connections. Whether dealing with a medical condition or simply wanting to stay energized and happy as years go by, attendees will learn how even small steps can lead to meaningful improvements in health and longevity.

Bermejo is triple board-certified in Family Medicine, OMT, and Lifestyle Medicine, and is a published author in the American Journal of Lifestyle Medicine.

The March 12 lecture is sponsored by the Lompoc Hospital District Foundation. Reservations are not required.

The DeWees Community and Senior Center is located at 1120 W. Ocean Ave., Lompoc.

The lectures are free and ample parking is available.
