A couple of clubs in different situations get set to meet up in the lone English Premier League match on Monday, as Everton gets set to host Leeds United.
Everton has been doing a solid job as of late to not be considered a threat to be relegated, as the club is trying to do its best to potentially challenge for a European spot in the league table.
Despite getting bounced from the FA Cup by Sunderland a couple of weeks ago, the Toffees are coming off a solid win, on the road, against Aston Villa last Sunday. The club has points in four of its last five league matches, which includes a victory over Nottingham Forest late last month.
Everton came into the weekend slate 10th in the table, three points back of Manchester United for fifth place, and only four behind fourth-place Liverpool.
Leeds is simply trying to stay ahead of the bottom three. The club picked up a needed three points last Saturday against Fulham, ending a four-match winless drought.
The Whites are down in 16th place in the table, but are eight points ahead of West Ham, who sit in 18th.
