Moses Chan Ho is one of the most recognisable stars on television in Hong Kong, having appeared in TV hits such as War and Beauty (2004) and Heart of Greed (2007). These days, he is also the face of countless commercial services and products, ranging from private banking to health supplements.

Chan’s early life hinted at a different future. Born in 1971 into a well-to-do family, his path seemed set when he moved to Brisbane, Australia, and enrolled in university to study accounting.
His foray into the world of entertainment began not in front of a camera, but on the runway, when he was scouted to be a model for Esprit after his graduation. This led him back to Hong Kong, where he starred in his first film, cult classic Twenty Something (1994). However, his cinematic career sputtered, and a series of minor, forgettable roles followed.
