The Li Ka Shing Foundation and the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort are offering 5,000 domestic helpers a free trip to the theme park this year under an expanded programme.

The charitable foundation, established by tycoon Li Ka-shing, said on Tuesday that the number of helpers receiving free trips would increase from 4,000 last year to 5,000. The initiative will also include more nationalities, extending beyond the Philippines to workers from Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Thailand.

The free trips will be offered on March 29 and April 12.

Each participant will receive a one-day admission ticket to the park on Lantau Island, meal vouchers covering two full meals and a special snack, and an Octopus card for transport, with a total value of more than HK$1,000 (US$128).

“As a heartfelt gesture of gratitude to the city’s hardworking foreign domestic workers, the 2026 programme will feature even greater cultural diversity and an expanded number of participants, spreading warmth and appreciation across different communities,” the foundation said.
