Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair returns for milestone 45th edition

The 45th Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and the 14th Salon de TIME will return to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from 1-5 September, bringing together international watch brands, independent makers and suppliers for one of the industry’s largest annual trade events.

Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association Ltd and The Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades & Industries Ltd, the twin fairs will once again adopt the EXHIBITION+ hybrid format, combining the physical exhibition with the Click2Match online business matching platform, which will run from 25 August to 12 September.

Held under the theme “Sparkling Moments Through Time”, this year’s event marks the 45th edition of the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and will showcase everything from OEM and ODM manufacturing and components to luxury watches, independent brands, limited editions and wearable technology.

The Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair will feature dedicated zones covering complete watches, clocks, parts and components, machinery, packaging and trade services, alongside its “Pageant of Eternity” exhibition for OEM and ODM timepieces.

Running alongside it, Salon de TIME will showcase brands across six themed zones, including World Brand Piazza, Craft Treasure, Microbrands, Renaissance Moment, Chic & Trendy and Wearable Tech.

The exhibition will feature brands including CIGA Design, Memorigin, Seagull, Shanghai, Pierre Lannier, WOLF, Zeppelin, Breda, Micromilspec, Vario, Scotch & Soda and Alba, while the Swiss Independent Watchmaking Pavilion and Francéclat will present independent brands including Briston, Herbelin and LIP.

Among the product highlights is what organisers describe as the world’s first smartwatch to combine medical-grade Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) biosensor technology with a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) framework, which will be presented in the Wearable Tech zone by Watch2Care and Link2Care.

Alongside the exhibition, the programme will include watch parades, networking events, buyer forums and industry conferences.

The Hong Kong International Watch Forum, taking place on 1 September, will bring together representatives from major watch associations worldwide to discuss global trade performance, market trends and the growing convergence of traditional watchmaking with artificial intelligence and smartwatch technologies.

On 2 September, the Asian Watch Conference will focus on opportunities created by the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and China’s Greater Bay Area, alongside discussions on e-commerce growth and the future of the regional watch industry.

The event will also host the 43rd Hong Kong Watch & Clock Design Competition, with winners announced during the fair. This year’s themes are “Contours of the Breeze” for the student category and “Transcending Time” for the open category, with shortlisted entries displayed throughout the exhibition.

The competition will again present its Made-to-Sell Award, recognising the student design considered to have the strongest commercial potential.
