Hong Kong to Xiamen in 48 hours on Star Voyager: Travel Weekly Asia

Star Voyager is sailing out on six new two-night cruises from Hong Kong to Xiamen starting 19 September 2025, with Friday evening departures and Sunday afternoon returns.

The cruises depart from Ocean Terminal in Hong Kong and will be held on 19 and 26 September, 3, 17 and 31 October, and 14 November 2025.

These sailings replace the previously announced Weekend High Seas Cruises on the same dates.

Michael Goh, president of StarDream Cruises, said: “We’re thrilled to introduce these exclusive weekend Xiamen cruises that give guests the chance to unwind and discover Xiamen without taking extra days off work, turning an ordinary weekend into something truly special.”

After an overnight journey, guests will spend the day in Xiamen, a coastal city in China known for attractions such as the UNESCO-listed Gulangyu Island, Nanputuo Temple and Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street.

The new itinerary is intended to offer “something fresh, flexible and unforgettable,” according to Goh, highlighting a mix of convenience and cultural exploration.

Reservations open on 5 August 2025 with early bird rates from HK$1,300 (US$165) per guest (based on twin sharing) available until 15 September 2025.

Star Voyager is part of the StarCruises fleet, which also includes the Star Navigator. The brand was relaunched with a focus on mid-sized ships, lifestyle cruising and regional itineraries across Southeast and East Asia.
