Hong Kong International Airport climbs to 6th in global airport rankings

The Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) has ascended five spots to secure the sixth position in the 2025 Skytrax World Airport Awards.

This significant leap from 11th place in 2024 and 33rd in the preceding year marks its best performance since it last won the Airport of the Year title in 2011.

Continuing its reign, Singapore’s Jewel Changi Airport was named the world’s top aviation facility for the 13th time, celebrated for its impressive 40-meter Rain Vortex waterfall and expansive 10-story Jewel retail complex.

Asian airports continued to dominate the rankings, with the top six positions filled by Hamad International Airport in Doha, Haneda Airport in Tokyo, Incheon International Airport in Seoul, and Narita International Airport in Tokyo.

Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris ranked seventh, while Vancouver International Airport was the highest-ranked North American airport at 13th place, being the only North American airport in the top 20. Notably, Heathrow Airport in London was missing from the list, despite being Europe’s busiest airport.
