The Beanz of Your Dreamz competition from the popular food manufacturer made way for three new flavours of its tinned baked beans as voted for by members of the public.
While the original Heinz Beanz are a popular addition to meals throughout the day, now these three flavours could offer a different twist at dinner time.
The competition saw more than 26,000 entries and the top three flavours were Pizza Beanz, Tagine Beanz and Sweet & Sour Beanz which are now available to buy.
The competition launched in February, inviting Brits to create the next flavour of Beanz – a first in Heinz history – with the winners taking home a prize of £5000, a lifetime supply of Beanz and an opportunity to see their creations come to life.
Joining the existing Beanz Flavours range are the following flavours:
- Pizza Beanz – An Italian-inspired recipe with rich tomato sauce, creamy cheese and sweet basil. Heinz recommends serving these beans with garlic bread.
- Tagine Beanz – This Moroccan-inspired recipe consists of cumin, harissa and cinnamon to create a spiced, aromatic taste. Serve with cous cous or flatbread.
- Sweet & Sour Beanz – A Chinese-inspired recipe with a zingy sweet and sour taste. You could serve these with rice and crispy chicken or spring rolls.
Some unusual flavours were voted for in the competition, including cinnamon (349 entries), honey (212 entries) and pineapple (809 entries).
How to buy Heinz’s new Beanz flavours
The new tins of Beanz are available to buy via the Heinz website or on Ocado.
