Lightspeed Studios has today formally launched Final Fantasy XIV Mobile in China. The studio celebrates the release by publishing a blog post and launch trailer on BiliBili for the mobile game officially known in Chinese as Final Fantasy XIV: Crystal World.

From what we could learn from 4Gamer‘s Japanese coverage, the mobile game requires a storage space of at least 20 GB and a minimum memory of 3.5 GB. In addition, the game also immediately went into first place in the TapTap rankings.
For the record, Square Enix revealed the global release of Final Fantasy XIV Mobile last November. But despite today’s release in China, the global version’s website—which is available in English, Japanese, and Chinese—has still not received any updates since the first reveal. We will keep you updated when there is any progress for the global release.
