Intelligent vehicle validation and next-generation testing took center stage today as Testing Expo China – Automotive opened at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, bringing together automotive engineers, testing specialists, technology providers and industry experts for three days of technology showcases, technical presentations and networking.
The event is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, marking two decades of bringing the automotive testing and validation community together in China. The milestone comes as the industry undergoes another major transformation, with software-defined vehicles, AI-powered driving systems, electrification and increasingly complex validation requirements reshaping vehicle development.
Across the exhibition floor, visitors are exploring new technologies for intelligent vehicle development, data acquisition, simulation, HIL testing, autonomous driving validation, NVH and electrified powertrain testing.
Dewesoft – High-speed data acquisition and open testing architectures
Dewesoft is showcasing solutions spanning ultra-high-speed data acquisition, power hardware-in-the-loop, autonomous driving and NVH testing, alongside open testing architectures designed to support increasingly data-driven vehicle development and validation.

Hongke Technology – One-stop data acquisition for autonomous driving
Hongke Technology is presenting its latest one-stop data acquisition solution for autonomous driving, combining ROS2-standardized data acquisition and management tools with multisensor calibration software and a high-performance industrial domain controller platform.
Its XTSS nanosecond-level synchronization technology enables consistent timing across multiple sensors, while modular hardware supports a wide range of vehicle-mounted sensors for applications including ADAS road testing and HIL simulation.
“Hongke is focusing on a one-stop data acquisition solution for autonomous driving at this year’s show,” said Liang Zhongqiu, head of the autonomous driving business at Hongke Technology and Keymotek. “The solution covers real-time acquisition, data replay and full-chain testing, supporting direct deployment on vehicles.”

Foretellix – Scaling validation for AI-powered autonomous driving
Foretellix is showcasing its Foretify physical AI toolchain and its latest work with the Nvidia Alpamayo ecosystem, bringing together data curation, synthetic data generation, scenario testing and validation to help developers evaluate increasingly complex AI-powered autonomous driving systems.
The company is highlighting the growing importance of scalable and measurable validation as autonomous driving systems move toward increasingly sophisticated foundation models, with coverage analysis and systematic testing helping engineering teams identify gaps and measure successive model iterations.
VCarsystem – HIL testing for software-defined vehicles
VCarsystem is demonstrating its CubeStack HIL solution, designed to support validation of software-centric and connected vehicle systems as vehicle architectures become increasingly complex.
The company’s wider testing portfolio covers HIL, data acquisition and automotive bus testing across areas including electrification, intelligent cockpits and autonomous driving, supporting development from bench validation through to vehicle testing.

Technology Presentation Stage – Day 1
The Technology Presentation Stage got underway today with a strong program focused on intelligent vehicle validation, attracting visitors throughout the day for practical insights from testing specialists and technology providers.
Among the highlights, Xi Ruixuan from China Automotive Intelligent Technology (Tianjin) explored the development of mainstream intelligent driving systems and how testing technologies need to evolve alongside them. Before that, Foretellix examined the transition from physical AI datasets to coverage-driven autonomous driving validation, highlighting the importance of measurable and systematic approaches to validating increasingly complex AI-powered driving systems.
The afternoon program turned to best practices for testing advanced technologies, with sessions covering new-energy vehicle R&D, power HIL, intelligent measurement, embodied AI and the increasing value of test data.
One of the key themes emerging from the program is the need to connect increasingly sophisticated vehicle technologies with testing methods that are scalable, measurable and capable of handling the complexity of modern vehicle development.
