Explosions heard, fiery object seen in Palawan sky on day of China rocket launch

Explosions were heard just as a fiery object crossed the sky in Puerto Princesa in Palawan on Monday.

According to a report on “Saksi,” residents said the ground shook because of the blasts.

The Philippine Space Agency earlier said that China launched a rocket from the Hainan International Commercial Launch Center in Wenchang, Hainan, around 6:21 p.m.

It said the drop zone was between Puerto Princesa and the Tubbataha Reef.

Authorities are checking if the explosions were related to the China rocket launch. –NB, GMA Integrated News
