Donald Trump calls Iranian proposal to end war ‘totally unacceptable’

US President Donald Trump called the latest Iranian proposal to end the war “totally unacceptable” on Sunday, in a Truth Social post.

“I have just read the response from Iran’s so-called “Representatives.” I don’t like it – totally unacceptable!” he wrote.

Trump’s response to the proposal was no surprise to Iranian officials, Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency reported, citing an informed source.

“We just saw the reaction of the ‘so-called US President’ to Iran’s response. It doesn’t matter; no one in Iran is writing a plan to please Trump,” the agency’s source said.

The report also mentioned that the negotiation team is working on a proposal that would focus “on the people of Iran,” and added that “when Trump isn’t happy, it is usually better.”

The Iranian proposal stressed the need to end the war on all fronts and to lift sanctions on Tehran, the agency reported on Sunday.

The proposal emphasized the necessity of lifting sanctions by the US Office of Foreign Assets Control on Iranian oil sales during a 30-day period and ending the naval blockade on Iran, Tasnim added.

Earlier on Sunday, Trump wrote that while Iran has been playing games and laughing at the US for 47 years, warning that “they will be laughing no longer.”

He accused Iran of “keeping us waiting, killing our people with roadside bombs, destroying protests, and recently wiping out 42,000 innocent unarmed protestors,” referencing the crackdown the Islamic Regime conducted on popular protests in December and January.

Trump also blamed his predecessors, presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden, for enabling Iran, saying that Obama was “not only good to [Iran], he was great, actually going to their side, jettisoning Israel and all other Allies.”

He then alleged that Obama delivered $1.7 billion in cash to Tehran in addition to hundreds of billions more in other assets or deals.
