Sad news, metalheads: thrash pioneers Megadeth have released their final album and are about to put their guitars away for good. However, they’re going out in style with a multi-year global farewell tour – and it’s coming to the UK.
This week Megadeth announced the European leg of their goodbye tour. Titled Breakout: Hibernation Of The Nations, it’ll see Dave Mustaine and co play two dozen shows across the continent. A whopping eight of those are here in the UK, with dates lined up at major arenas in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham and other British cities.
Mustaine has called the tour ‘a true celebration of metal’, and fellow metal titans Black Label Society and Testament are on support.

When are Megadeth going on tour?
Megadeth’s Breakout: Hibernation Of The Nations tour will start in Belfast in March 2027 and finish in Lisbon in April 2027. The UK dates are all in March.

General sale is this Friday, August 7 at 10am BST. You’ll be able to purchase through Ticketmaster here.
