Weezer’s next self-titled LP – dubbed Gold Album – will be released later this month. To mark the band’s 20th studio record, Rivers Cuomo and co are heading out on a massive tour of North America, Europe and Japan. And it includes several UK dates.

It isn’t that long since Weezer last toured the UK. The ‘Island in the Sun’ and ‘Say It Ain’t So’ pop rock titans embarked on a co-headlining tour with the Smashing Pumpkins in June 2024. This time, however, it’ll be just them. Well, and support band Taking Back Sunday.

The run of dates is called The Gathering tour, and it’ll see Weezer play huge arenas in cities like London, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow.

When are Weezer going on tour?

Rivers Cuomo, Patrick Wilson, Brian Bell and Scott Shriner’s tour kicks off in North America (Sacramento, California, to be precise) this September and will end in Helsinki next June. The UK dates are all in May 2027.

Here are the main presales to be aware of:

• Weezer fan club presale (all dates) – from 9am on Tuesday August 11. Join the fan club here.
• Album preorder presale (all dates) – from 10am on Tuesday August 11. Order the new album here by 3pm on Mon Aug 10.
• Co-op presale (Manchester only) – from 10am on Wednesday August 12
• OVO presale (Glasgow only) – from 10am on Wednesday August 12
• Live Nation presale (all dates) – from 10am on Thursday August 13.

Ticket prices

Glasgow’s OVO Hydro says that non-VIP tickets will range in price from £55.60 to £95.30. Expect similar pricing across the rest of Weezer’s UK dates.

Supporting Weezer on all UK dates are Noughties pop-rock titans Taking Back Sunday.

Resale

Once tickets have gone on sale, you’ll be able to find resale options through Ticketmaster’s official resale platform.

When will Weezer release a new album?

The band’s 20th album Weezer – in the band’s traditional style, nicknamed Gold Album – will be released on August 21 2026. Three preview singles have been revealed so far: ‘Shine Again’, ‘We Might as Well Be Strangers’ and ‘C.E.O.’
