While coffee is in the name, the new Coffee Heaven in Bellmawr offers much more than a great cup of coffee. The family-owned café features refreshing Fizzi Pop drinks, freshly squeezed lemonade, iced lattes, mini pancakes, croissant melts, bagels, baked goods, and, of course, delicious freshly brewed coffee.
I stopped in this week to catch up with Bellmawr residents Heather and Al, the husband-and-wife team behind Coffee Heaven. The café opened about a month ago at 134 W. Browning Road, located near Aldi in the small shopping center that is also home to Paradise Pizza.
The space has been completely refreshed with a bright, modern interior featuring a large ordering counter, comfortable seating options, and an open floor plan that creates a welcoming atmosphere whether you’re grabbing coffee to go or staying awhile.
Coffee Heaven has also recently launched DoorDash delivery, making it easy to enjoy your favorite drinks and breakfast items from home or the office.
A True Family-Owned Bellmawr Business
Coffee Heaven is about as local as it gets.
Heather and Al have lived in Bellmawr for more than 20 years, raising their children through the local school system and youth sports programs.
The entire business has become a family affair. On busy weekends, you’ll often find their children and extended family helping behind the counter. During my visit, Heather’s sister Megan was pitching in as they prepared for a busy Fourth of July weekend.
With the annual Bellmawr Fourth of July Parade traveling right down Browning Road in front of the café, Coffee Heaven is planning to set up outside to serve parade-goers. If you’re attending the parade, it’s the perfect place to grab an iced latte, refreshing lemonade, or one of their colorful Fizzi Pop creations.
Fresh Coffee and Refreshing Summer Drinks
As you would expect, coffee is the star of the menu.
Customers can order hot or iced coffee along with espresso drinks, cappuccinos, iced lattes, and matcha beverages.
With South Jersey experiencing another summer heat wave, the cold drink menu may be the biggest attraction. Coffee Heaven serves freshly squeezed lemonade that can be customized with a wide variety of fruit flavors, along with oversized 34-ounce “bucket” iced teas, iced coffees, iced lattes and more!
During my visit I tried the Blueberry Muffin Iced Latte, which was incredibly refreshing with plenty of flavor without being overly sweet.
Fizzi Pop Drinks Bring the “Dirty Soda” Trend to Bellmawr
You’ve probably heard about the “dirty soda” craze that has spread across the country over the past few years, where popular soft drinks are customized with flavored syrups and cream.
Coffee Heaven has created its own version called Fizzi Pop.
They offer a wide variety of creative combinations, including Strawberry Cheesecake, Cotton Candy, and several Sprite- and Dr Pepper-based creations. One that immediately caught my eye was the Chocolate Covered Strawberry Dr Pepper.
To customize drinks, Coffee Heaven stocks 32 different flavor options, ranging from classics like French Vanilla, Cheesecake, and S’mores to fruit favorites including peach, apple, blueberry, pineapple, and many more. Chances are they have exactly the flavor combination you’re looking for.
Breakfast Favorites Include Mini Pancakes and Croissant Melts
The food menu focuses on quick breakfast favorites, with two customer favorites leading the way: mini pancakes and croissant melts.
I ordered a serving of 10 mini pancakes that had been decorated with a festive Fourth of July theme featuring whipped cream and red, white, and blue sprinkles.
The croissant melts are another popular choice, offering savory options such as Pepperoni & Mozzarella or Ham & American Cheese.
Coffee Heaven also offers fresh bagels, muffins, cornbread, cookies, and other baked treats, along with bottled water, apple juice, orange juice, and additional beverages.
Coffee Heaven Bellmawr Hours
Coffee Heaven is open seven days a week, opening daily at 7:00 a.m.
- Monday through Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The café is also open on the Fourth of July and will have a special setup along the sidewalk outside the store during the Bellmawr parade. If you’re attending the festivities, stop by for a refreshing drink, fresh coffee, or a quick breakfast before enjoying the celebration.
