China Coast Guard ship formation sails through Japan-administered Senkaku Islands

Former Bank of Communications VP probed by China's anti-graft watchdog, state media reports

BEIJING, Nov 16 (Reuters) – A China Coast Guard ship formation passed through the waters of the Senkaku Islands on Sunday on a “rights enforcement patrol”, the China Coast Guard said in a statement, adding that the passage was in accordance with international law.

China and Japan have repeatedly faced off around the Japan-administered islands, which Beijing calls Diaoyu and Tokyo calls the Senkaku.
