The Tang EV serves as BYD’s full-size flagship SUV featuring flash-charging technology. Global pre-sales began at the Beijing Auto Show on April 24, 2026, with a pre-sale price range of 250,000 to 320,000 yuan. In less than two weeks, pre-orders have already surpassed 100,000 units.
Positioned as a full-size flagship SUV, the Tang EV measures 5,263mm in length with a 3,130mm wheelbase, projecting a commanding presence. The new model offers three range variants: an 800km rear-wheel-drive version, a 950km rear-wheel-drive version, and an 850km all-wheel-drive version. It is equipped with the second-generation Blade Battery, achieving a maximum CLTC pure electric range of 950km — a new global record for full-size electric SUVs. Thanks to BYD’s flash-charging technology, the vehicle can charge from 10% to 70% in five minutes and reach 97% in nine minutes. Even in extreme cold of -30°C, charging time increases by only three minutes.
In terms of space and comfort, the vehicle adopts a 2+2+3 seven-seat layout with a class-leading 89.3% space utilization rate, while the third row provides standard seating comfort. The second row features dual zero-gravity aviation seats, standard with ventilation, heating, and a 10-point massage function; the backrests recline up to 146°, paired with 70° electric leg rests. All models come standard with a 2.53-square-meter “Sky Mirror” panoramic sunroof that blocks 100% of UV rays. Additionally, the car is equipped with a French Devialet 7.1.4-channel sound system comprising 27 speakers, along with electric side steps and soft-closing doors, delivering a ride experience that rivals luxury MPVs.
Regarding intelligence and performance, the Tang EV comes standard with the “God’s Eye 5.0” intelligent driving system, supporting scenarios such as highway cruising and automatic parking. The AI cockpit integrates large models like Qianwen and DeepSeek, enabling fuzzy semantic interaction. The all-wheel-drive version accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. It is the first to feature a rear-wheel steering system with a maximum steering angle of 14°, resulting in a turning radius of only 5.2 meters. Combined with the DiSus-A dual-chamber air suspension and road preview function, it balances both handling and comfort.
