BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WBNG) – At Brookside Elementary School, students are embracing fashion and the alphabet.
The Universal pre-kindergarteners at Brookside are holding their annual “ABC Fashion Show” — showcasing both knowledge and style.
For teacher Becky Wolf, the fashion show is a stylish way to share their learning with family. She says, “ABC fashion show is just a super fun way to kick off our letter learning in Pre-K. We learned all 26 letters in 26 days, we learned their sounds, we make a super fun hat, we practice writing, and it’s just a super fun way to really kick off our letter learning.”
After mastering the alphabet, students designed their own brown-paper vests displaying all sorts of things starting with their favorite letter.
For families, the vest was a collaborative effort. “Each family helped their child make their vest, and so it was a family fun activity and all the vests looked amazing,” says Wolf.
The pint-sized fashionistas took to the runway to model their letters to an applauding crowd of family members.
With their newfound skills, the tiny learners are ready to take on the world of fashion and school with stylish knowledge.
