Unless you have been living under a rock, it is more than likely that you’ve notice that local election season is now in full swing.

And in Barnsley, the people vying for your vote to become one of the market town’s new councillors number into the hundreds. There are all-out Barnsley Council elections this year, with the community set to head to the polls to cast their votes on May 7.

All 63 seats in the town are up for grabs across all 21 wards. Voters can cast votes for three people they want to see representing them in their area.
