Ember + Forge will be hosting the third annual Latte Art Competition. The competition will begin at 5 p.m. on Jan. 24 at Ember + Forge.

The event showcases baristas who have come from several local coffee shops. The baristas will be judged on their latte art by local community leaders.

The competition will be hosted by CEE Brown with Mix Master Maynard who will bring on-site spinning records. Community Access Media plans to provide a barista camera for all attendees to view. All baristas will compete within three categories and there will be potential for them to advance each round.

At the last competition baristas from seven different coffee shops competed and the coffee shop Iron Furnace took first place. The organizers are hoping to see a fierce but friendly competition this year.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Multicultural Community Resource Center. Attendees are encouraged to leave donations in lieu of an entry fee to the event.

Additional opportunities to support the Multicultural Community Resource Center will be available with raffle baskets and silent auction lattes. Proceeds will be donated to the Multicultural Community Resource Center.
