Barcelona appear set for quite the overhaul at the striker position this summer with Robert Lewandowski’s increasingly cloudy future and a clear need for a proven goalscorer after both Lewandowski and Ferran Torres struggled to provide consistent production for the Catalans.
Julián Alvarez is the number one priority for the summer, but Barça know that convincing Atlético Madrid to sell won’t be easy. Other big names such as Victor Osimhen have also been floated, but the latest reporting seems to suggest Barça are looking to lower cost options, with Atlético’s Alexander Sorloth and Mallorca big man Vedat Muriqi strongly linked with moves to Camp Nou in the last couple of days.

Sorloth has been a pretty consistent Barça killer going back to his days at Real Sociedad and especially at Atlético, while Muriqi is the second top scorer in La Liga this season and has shown a pretty impressive combination of height, power and finishing ability.
Both players are in their early thirties and still have a few good years ahead of them, and they appear to be serious targets if Barça are unable to get their dream move for Julián.
