KUWAIT: A delegation of students from the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) has concluded an educational trip to China, visiting Shenzhen and Shanghai to explore advanced models of applied and technical education and enhance their expertise in technology and innovation. In a press statement issued Tuesday, PAAET said the delegation comprised eight students accompanied by two faculty members. The program included visits to Shenzhen University of Applied Science and Technology and Shanghai University of Engineering and Technology, where the students were introduced to the institutions’ academic and applied experiences.
The students also toured laboratories and technical facilities and learned about the latest technologies and applications in education, training, scientific research and innovation. The program featured several meetings and field visits, providing the students with direct exposure to the Chinese academic environment and insights into how applied and technical education is aligned with industry and labor market needs.
The students also gained an understanding of various aspects of Chinese culture and society, broadening their horizons and contributing to the development of their scientific and personal skills. PAAET said the trip is part of its efforts to strengthen international cooperation and enrich students’ educational experiences by providing opportunities to engage directly with advanced global practices in applied and technical education. The initiative also supports the Authority’s efforts to prepare qualified national cadres equipped with the knowledge and skills required to meet future educational and labor market needs. — KUNA
