Cole Palmer’s winner against Brighton & Hove Albion has been nominated for the August Guinness Premier League Goal of the Month award.
Palmer has made a fantastic start to the 2026/27 season as part of Xabi Alonso’s exciting front three and, alongside Joao Pedro, has already been shortlisted for Premier League Player of the Month honour. Blues boss Xabi Alonso is in the running for Manager of the Month.
Our No.10 has registered two goals – both winners – and an assist in our opening two Premier League fixtures of the campaign, and the second of those, scored against Brighton, has earned him a nomination for Premier League Goal of the Month.
It was a fine strike, as Palmer collected the ball from Joao Pedro, carried it 20 yards into a dangerous position, and expertly curled a shot beyond Bart Verbruggen and into the back of the net.
