For anyone who considers their morning coffee a ritual rather than a routine, David Beckham’s latest collaboration is about to make the kitchen a whole lot more appealing.
Beckham has teamed up with Ninja for the first product design partnership between the global ambassador and the appliance brand, resulting in the limited-edition Ninja Luxe Café Pro Espresso Machine by David Beckham.
Available in Australia from August 28, the machine takes Ninja’s Luxe Café range in a distinctly more sophisticated direction.

The design alone is enough to make it stand out. Developed over six months of curation, prototyping and refinement, the machine features a bead-blasted matte black stainless-steel body, an ebony wood handle and gold accents.
It is a combination of materials not previously used across the Ninja Luxe Café range.
“We focused on the finer details, drawing inspiration from the natural materials of the English countryside and then refining them with a sophisticated finish,” Beckham said of the collaboration.
But while the Beckham factor may be what catches your eye, it is the technology that makes this coffee machine particularly interesting.
The Luxe Café Pro is Ninja’s most advanced guided coffee experience yet, bringing three different coffee-making methods into one appliance.
It can make espresso, rapid cold brew and filter coffee, while an independent hot water system can be used for long blacks, tea and hot chocolate.
For espresso fans, there are five styles to choose from, including single, double and quad shots, as well as ristretto and lungo. The machine also offers two cold brew styles and three filter coffee styles, including classic, rich and over ice.
The clever part is how much of the guesswork has been removed from the process. Ninja’s Barista Assist Technology provides customised grind-size recommendations, weight-based dosing and active adjustments to brewing temperature and pressure.
The system monitors each brew and can recommend a grind size based on the previous one, helping users work towards a more balanced cup.
An integrated conical burr grinder with 25 grind settings also means coffee beans can be ground fresh for each brew, while the built-in scale handles weight-based dosing according to the drink selected.
Then there is the frothing system, which could be particularly appealing to anyone who has spent too much time trying to recreate café-style milk at home.
The Dual Froth System Pro combines an insulated steam wand with an XL milk jug featuring an integrated whisk.
It can simultaneously steam and whisk dairy or plant-based milk, with five preset functions covering steamed milk, microfoam, thick froth, extra-thick froth and cold foam. The system can also create froth for two drinks at once.
There is an integrated tamper, too, designed to help create an evenly distributed puck without the mess of overflowing coffee grounds. Built-in storage provides a dedicated spot for accessories including the brew baskets, cleaning disc and brush.
For summer entertaining, the cold-pressed espresso setting could be another drawcard. Espresso is brewed at a lower temperature and pressure at a slower pace for a smooth, flavourful result, with Ninja suggesting it is particularly suited to drinks such as espresso martinis.
The result is a machine designed to make a surprisingly wide range of drinks without requiring a kitchen full of separate appliances.
With 29 preset drink options and a polished finish designed by Beckham, the Luxe Café Pro sits somewhere between a serious coffee machine and a statement kitchen appliance.
