Kyle Sandilands had to pull out of his Friday show due to sickness after being told by his doctor to take it easy.
The shock jock was nowhere to be seen this morning on his new $99-a-year podcast, and the rest of the cast would fill in in his absence.
Newsreader Brooklyn Ross sat in Kyle’s usual spot and quickly addressed the issue.

Kyle Sandilands called in sick from hosting duties on Friday morning.
(Kyle Sandilands Live/Instagram)“I have some sad news to report this morning,” he said. “Kyle is sick today. And from what I hear, this is a legitimate sickness.
“I know that he would actually be devastated to not be here.
“He’s built this whole thing with his bare hands. I know he actually would be here if he could.”
Bruno Bouchet, Kyle’s manager, elaborated more on what was keeping Kyle away from his show.
“It’s basically that high blood pressure thing, the aneurysm, doctor’s orders,” he said.
“But he was telling me this morning, ‘Isn’t it funny that I’m actually sick this time around.'”

What happened with Kyle Sandilands’ aneurysm?
The Aussie radio host revealed to his listeners last year that he was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm, which required “immediate attention” and surgery at the time.
A brain aneurysm is a weak spot on an artery inside the brain that balloons and fills with blood.
If the aneurysm isn’t treated correctly, it can put pressure on brain tissue and nerves, or it can burst and leak blood into the brain.
According to Health Direct, aneurysms can “quickly become life-threatening”, which is why Kyle had to act fast last year.

Kyle’s first symptom of the issue was a series of headaches that wouldn’t go away, and he took himself to the doctor to see what was happening.
Once he was given the diagnosis, he then revealed the news in February last year to his KIIS FM listeners in a slightly joking tone.
“I was told by my medical team, which sounds like I’m already very sick to have a medical team, that I have a brain aneurysm and it requires immediate attention,” he said.
“So if you just tuned in to us after all these years, lap it up.
“And if you’re in Melbourne, you’re coming to the party too late. You may get your wish, I may be dead. It’s possible, it’s highly possible.”
