Begin scores Italian football rights for Pakistan

Pakistan streaming service Begin has acquired the exclusive broadcast and sublicensing rights for Serie A, Coppa Italia, and the Supercoppa Italiana in Pakistan through a three-year agreement, adding another of world football’s most prestigious competitions to its growing portfolio of premium sports properties.

The agreement marks a significant milestone in Begin’s ongoing strategy to bring globally-recognised sports properties to Pakistan while continuing to invest in the country’s rapidly growing sports entertainment landscape.

As one of Europe’s most historic football leagues, Serie A is home to some of the sport’s most iconic clubs, including Inter Milan, AC Milan, Juventus, Napoli, Roma and Lazio. Through this partnership, football fans across Pakistan will gain access to live and on-demand coverage of league matches, domestic cup fixtures and championship showdowns from Italian football for the first time.

Begin says the acquisition further cements its position as a leading football destination in Pakistan. With rights that already include LaLiga, the Saudi Pro League, EFL/Carabao Cup and the Spanish Supercopa, the addition of Serie A creates one of the most comprehensive football offerings available to fans in the country.

Beyond expanding its content portfolio, the agreement reflects Begin’s continued investment in Pakistan’s digital media ecosystem. The company has consistently focused on securing premium international rights and delivering them through legal, high-quality viewing experiences tailored for local audiences.

Jonathan Mark Tatti, Chief Executive Officer of Begin, said: “At Begin, our ambition has always been to redefine the entertainment experience for audiences in Pakistan by bringing the world’s most sought-after content and sports properties onto a single platform. Serie A is one of football’s most iconic competitions, renowned for its rich history, legendary clubs and global fanbase, and we are proud to bring it to audiences in Pakistan. The addition of Serie A strengthens an already unmatched portfolio and reflects our continued investment in premium content, technology and fan experiences. As Pakistan’s digital entertainment landscape continues to evolve, we remain committed to leading that transformation and delivering world-class content that resonates with audiences across the country.”

The acquisition represents the latest step in Begin’s broader strategy of building a premium sports portfolio featuring some of the world’s most recognised sporting properties. Alongside football, the platform also offers access to major international events including MotoGP, Zuffa Boxing, and other global sports properties, giving fans a single destination for world-class sports entertainment.
