Travis Barker is sharing the simple rule he and Kourtney Kardashian Barker follow to keep their marriage strong.
The Blink-182 drummer, 50, opened up about his relationship with the reality star in a new interview with People, published Wednesday, Aug. 12, revealing that the couple makes an effort to work through disagreements before calling it a night.
“We try not to ever fall asleep mad at each other,” Barker said, explaining that they try to resolve even seemingly small misunderstandings rather than let them linger.
“[We] try to resolve, even if it’s just like, ‘Hey, I thought you were going to meet me for lunch, and you didn’t text me back right away, so I didn’t know if we were meeting for lunch.'”

“Just resolving anything so you don’t go to bed not feeling connected is really important,” the drummer said.
While the couple prioritizes working through disagreements, Barker acknowledged that sometimes giving each other space is equally important.
Barker and Kardashian, 47, were friends for years before their relationship turned romantic in 2021. They hard-launched their relationship shortly after Valentine’s Day and the pair became engaged that October after Barker proposed to Kardashian on a beach in Montecito, California.
The couple celebrated their union with three separate ceremonies. They held a 2 a.m. ceremony in Las Vegas in April 2022, though they did not get a marriage license. They legally tied the knot in Santa Barbara, California, the following month before celebrating with family and friends at a lavish ceremony in Portofino, Italy, later that May.

Barker and Kardashian welcomed their first child together, son Rocky Thirteen Barker, in November 2023. The couple also shares a large blended family.
Kardashian shares three children, sons Mason and Reign and daughter Penelope with ex-partner Scott Disick. Barker shares son Landon and daughter Alabama with ex-wife Shanna Moakler and remains close with his former stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya.
