ComingSoon is exclusively revealing the trailer for This Is Our City, a crime mockumentary starring Eric Roberts, releasing later this month. The film’s VOD rights were picked up by Freestyle Digital Media, and it will be released later this month.
This Is Our City follows Bill Galanarri, the son of a ruthless mob boss who wants to get famous. Bill’s idea for going about it involved hiring a documentary crew to film his life in the underworld. However, there is a twist. The camera crew includes undercover members of the FBI, with the lead agent, Ron, wanting to take down the crime family. Tensions arise as Ron finds himself getting attached to the Galanarri family. The adventure goes for a toss when the head of the Galanarri family is imprisoned, with the responsibility of taking over the city falling on Bill and his brother Frank.

What do we see in the This Is Our City trailer?
The trailer starts with the introduction of Bill, who says he has always wanted to be a gangster, in a confessional to a camera crew. Desperate to make a name for himself, Bill decides to form a new crew and hire a documentary crew to film it all. The footage doesn’t reveal much else, showing various gags performed by the ragtag group to make a name for itself. It ends with Bill explaining to his mom what the camera crew is recording, with her unable to process it all.
This Is Our City is directed by Joseph Galizia, who also helmed the short Bella & Cedro. It is being produced by Marissa Lessman and Amy Csaski. Besides Roberts, the film stars Adam Marcantoni, Max Fabian, Ashley Greene, Aaron Latterell, Kenton Gott, Anthony Kayer, Joseph Galizia, and Drew Lynch.
“We set out to make a movie that’s simply pure fun. A quick escape for audiences, filled with a cast of quirky characters who constantly find themselves in even quirkier situations,” said Galizia. “Blending the mockumentary and mob genres was an idea I’d wanted to explore for years, and This Is Our City was born from that vision. The film is the culmination of years of friendships, collaborations, endless jokes, and a genuine sense of family. And much like our cast, crew, PAs, and movie stars, it’s filled with heart.”
This Is Our City will be released on digital HD internet, DVD, cable, and satellite platforms on August 21, 2026. It will be available to stream on Amazon, Apple TV, Google Play, and YouTube Movies.
