Nothing co-founder Akis Evangelidis responded strongly at the time by claiming that such exit claims were “fake news”. Now the executive has launched an eyebrow-raising counter-attack.
Evangelidis revealed that Nothing was planning to launch twice as many phones in 2027 as it has in 2026 in an interview with TimesNowTech.

Given that the company has launched the Nothing Phone (4a), the Phone (4a) Pro, and the Phone (4b) this year, that would logically mean that the company is planning to release six new phones in 2027.
Evangelidis claims that “the idea is to have a wider range of smartphones”, which could well be a hint at new form factors from the company. The first Nothing foldable, perhaps?
Nothing’s other co-founder, Carl Pei, posted a link to the interview while pointing to the company’s success in the lucrative Indian market. The company opened its first store, drew in 2,000 people on the first day, and generated close to $3 million in revenue within its first six months.
The Phone (4a) series and Phone (4b) have also sold well in India, apparently, making Nothing “the fastest-growing brand in 9 out of the last 10 quarters”.
